Team Dominica

Back to School. There are good memories that many of us have when it comes to going back to school: new clothes, new shoes, new backpacks full of new school supplies and the newest gadgets. Remember the feeling you got from having a new backpack and school supplies. You felt confident and excited about learning and about the new school year. Unfortunately, there are many children and families who struggle to afford even basic school supplies. Starting off the school year right is very important.

We created this campaign to empower our supporters to help us help students in Dominica who truly need our support. We are raising funds for an unforgettable back to school event in Dominica. Together, we will provide 300 children backpacks filled with school supplies. Your support can help ensure a child feels more confident and ready to start the new school year. 

On August 17, 2019 we will host an unforgettable back to school experience for children and families in the Kalinago Territory. We are partnering with our local volunteers at Pagua Bay House and nonprofit organizations Hope Foundation and Golden Opportunities. Our ambassadors will help prepare 300 backpacks filled with school supplies. Not only are we providing backpacks with school supplies, our team will host a Youth Leadership workshop, inviting youth across the island to discover and develop their leadership. Check out this video to learn how your support will help us have a successful back to school event.

Our work is only possible when generous people like you who believe in helping the children of Dominica. In addition to this project, we will be working to provide books across the island.
