If you don't know, around Christmastime when Daniel was 6 months old, he had a cold and we brought him into Keene to see the doctor. Once there, they immediately recognized that he needed to be rushed up to CHaD to receive the care he needed. In the middle of a snow storm, he and Tara got into an Ambulance and were driven up to CHaD. After going into respiratory failure on the trip up, the doctors admitted him and stabilized him. He spent the next few weeks in a medically induce coma being treated for RSV and H-Flu. After 3 weeks, Dan made a full recovery and we were able to bring him home. While there, both Tara and I used a place called David's House. David's House provides a home-away-from-home and support for families with children receiving treatment through the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. We were able to have a place to stay, eat, shower, and visit with Suzie in a place that wasn't the hospital. The staff at David's House treated us all with the care that we needed and we will forever be in their debt. This is the least we can do to help pay them back and say thank you!
