Description of Event/Opportunity: Race for Home is our agency’s annual 5K/10K that benefits Peter & Paul Community Services and our work with the homeless. Race for Home is held during Homeless Awareness Month. This year the run will be held at Tower Grove Park on Saturday, November 8th at 9:00am. Volunteers are needed from 7:00am to 11:00am to help with multiple tasks. Volunteers roles include: cheering on runners along the course, greeting runners, accepting and organizing donations and staffing the snack station.
When: Saturday, November 8th from 7:00am – 11:00am
Where: Tower Grove Park – Sons of Rest Shelter
(The large Shelter that is closest to the corner of Arsenal and Grand Ave)

Other Information: Peter & Paul Community Services is an ecumenical agency that provides housing and support services to those who are homeless, especially those experiencing mental illness, HIV or AIDS or drug or alcohol addiction. We have 5 programs, which include an emergency shelter, a community meals program and three transitional housing programs. Our newest project is our Safe Haven, which will be located in the Benton Park West neighborhood and will provide permanent housing and support to 25 chronically homeless individuals.
