About January 27th, See, Test and Treat Multi Cancer Screening Event-Student Volunteers

Student volunteers(ONLY Students may volunteer for this event) are needed for the upcoming See, Test and Treat multi-cancer screening event to be held at the UMMC Cancer Institute in the Jackson Medical Mall on Saturday, January 27, 2018. Medically-underserved women in the Jackson metro area will have appointments for breast, cervical and/or skin cancer screenings and will receive same-day, face-to-face results. They will also receive a healthy meal and health information while they wait for their results. In order to eliminate barriers to screening, we will provide on-site child care as needed.

Volunteers are needed for a variety of roles from 7:30 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Volunteers are also needed to work a phone bank from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday (January 24th and 25th, respectively). All volunteers are asked to participate in a walk-through training & orientation session on Friday, January 19th at 4:30 p.m. at the Jackson Medical Mall.

Registered volunteers will receive a free on-site meal and a T-shirt.
