Since 1983, the Rainbow Senior Center at Kronkosky Place has provided seniors with programs to improve nutrition, socialization and fitness and it is our mission to enrich the quality of life for the aging population.  The Center operates the Meals on Wheels Kendall County program, the only home delivered meal program in the county.  Last year we provided over 8,000 meals to individuals including congregate and home-delivered meals. Meals on Wheels Kendall County delivers the support that keeps seniors in their homes, where they want to be.  Our volunteer drivers are often the only person the home-bound member will see all day where they not only deliver the much-needed meal but are also check on the well-being and safety of the member.  Meals on Wheels Kendall County provides meals to a senior for 1 year at roughly the same cost as 1 day in a hospital.  Our Meals on Wheels program has been growing at a rate of 6% per year for the past 5 years. This growth is expected to accelerate because Kendall County is the 2nd fastest growing county in Texas.
