About Native Wildlife Program Volunteers

We have expanded our native wildlife outreach programming and are seeking volunteers to learn and assist at these programs. You begin by learning the natural history of one ambassador. You progress to handling the ambassador you have studied. Punctuality and communication skills are a plus. These programs are held in Alachua, Columbia, Gilchrist, Marion and occassionaly other surrounding counties. Program season is mainly September-May, although we do a few summer programs. Appreciation of native wildlife is a plus-but no experience is necessary.
