About Help Improve the Quality of Life for Our Seniors

Do you want to help create a better life for our seniors? Starkville Manor Nursing Center is looking for friendly and outgoing volunteers (individuals & groups) that are willing to coordinate and host games, activities and social events for our senior residents on weekdays and weekends! Our residents love to play games such as Bingo/Cards, enjoy a special party around the holidays like Christmas or Valentine's Day, and arts and crafts activities. We have games you can use or feel free to bring your own. We also welcome your creativity and ideas on providing entertainment for our senior residents throughout the year.
Volunteers are welcome to host these activities any day of the week at various times including 10:15 AM, 10:30 AM and 2:00 PM. You can volunteer 1 time a year, 1 time a month or 1 time a week!
If you or your group would like to help us engage/entertain our residents, please contact Tyler Cook at 228-697-9412 or tbc124@msstate.edu.
Application Process
Volunteers are required to get a background check administered by the Oktibbeha County Sheriff's Department and a TB Skin Test administered by Starkville Manor Nursing Home, both at no cost to the volunteer.
To volunteer, please contact Tyler Cook at 228-697-9412 or tbc124@msstate.edu.
