Having annual donors is so important to a non-profit organization because we have to have funds to operate and make things happen for people who may be less fortunate. We have created the Community Advocacy Network (CAN) Initiative to allow everyone to work together and put our funds together to make a larger impact. We say, "Let's work together so we all can have part of something, rather than 100 percent of nothing."
By working together we can really make a difference, and we would have multiple efforts, not just one individual's efforts, but the efforts of Community Advocates that lead other advocates. Poverty, lack of education, jobs, and economic opportunities have depleted communities in many ares. Community Advocates like you and me drive around looking at dilapidated communities and imagine what can be there. We find ourselves going to those places in our communities over and over again, but the areas get worse. That's because we are the change. We are the ones that have to make something happen. You are not alone. All Community Advocates are dreaming. By putting our funds and our activities together, we can turn dreams into reality and all take pride in results.
It is absolutely exciting to dream about something that has not happened yet, but you know it will. That's not just dreaming, that's FAITH. I dream of creating beauty all around. Everywhere you look - downtown, across town, uptown, out in the country, etc. there is beauty. We can make it happen and we can keep it that way for future generations by creating jobs that make it happen. It's beautiful when we don't have to worry about safe schools, and safe homes in safe communities, that respect all residents, and protect the vulnerable. It's beautiful when businesses create jobs and respect the environment. Is it just a dream? There is a lot of work for everyone. Can you help us to make it a reality in your community?
We are looking for you and you are looking for us. We won't let you down. Please donate. Our mission is to assist communities to become more self-sufficient. That means we work within communities to empower people to make necessary improvements and change, so that communities are more self-sufficient.
