PLUS Positive Volunteer Management Team
Job Description
The Volunteer Management Team will support the Director of Operations with the day-to-day running of the Plus Positive Volunteer Management System. This role is an exciting blend of volunteer coordinator duties with administrative support. The position is a non-paid, part- time internship with credited volunteer hours based on a time commitment of 10 hours per week.
Volunteer Management Team Roles
Recruitment Specialist
Post volunteer opportunities via all outlets.
Develop role descriptions & interview questionnaires
Post & monitor opportunities through our corporate contacts.
Build & maintain volunteer Corporate Grant Management database.
Work with the social media team to post volunteer opportunities via our social media channels.
Work with the Newsletter team to provide newsletter updates.
Intake Specialist
Process volunteer inquiries by sending welcome letters
Make sure all volunteers have created a GiveGab account and are added to our mailing list via Vertical Responds.
Send out monthly volunteer certificates.
Make sure all volunteers are reporting their hours on a weekly bases.
Monitor hours of service rendered to meet the requirements of grant sponsorship.
Volunteer Appreciation Specialist (Non-Virtual volunteer opportunity )
Manage volunteer surveys ( Exit and quarterly surveys)
Assist in planning/coordinating Annual Banquet
Plan & Coordinate all volunteer Corporate events.
Responsibilities
Managing volunteer inquiries from the public.
Conducting informal chats with potential applicants to discuss their interests.
Supporting the effective marketing of Plus Positive volunteering opportunities.
Maintaining personnel files and providing administrative support to the Director of Operations.
Assist with planning & organizing events, such as group volunteer outings and celebration ceremonies.
Co facilitating in groups
Updating volunteer database.
Tracking volunteer hours.
Skills/Qualifications
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Knowledge and capability of using the variety of Microsoft Office Suites .
Ability to maintain confidentiality and act within professional boundaries .
Eligibility
This is a part-time internship and we require that you have your own computer to complete the internship projects and tasks. Candidates should maintain a positive attitude under pressure, exhibit a strong work ethic, and enjoy working with a wide range of personalities. Most importantly, the candidate should be flexible and willing to take on multiple tasks.
