Task Description/Specific Duties:
• Help maintain the Pollinator Garden, rain garden and natural grounds
• Duties include weeding, planting and transplanting, watering, and other general grounds
maintenance
• Help produce identification signs for the plants in the Pollinator Garden
• Spring and Fall work days
• Miscellaneous duties as requested
Days and Times Needed: Flexible schedule of 2 hours bi-weekly during April-October during the Sanctuary’s normal hours of operation: Monday-Saturday 9am to 5pm, Sunday 11am-4pm.
Longevity/Duration of Position: Ongoing during the months of April – October
Qualifications (Previous knowledge of subject matter is not required): Must enjoy
working outside in all kinds of weather and be capable of performing physical labor. Knowledge of plants and gardening is not required, but the desire to learn is. Minimum age 13
Orientation and Training: Training is provided on the job
Comments: Volunteers will be working in a friendly environment with helpful and
appreciative staff members.
