About Volunteers needed for one-day "Bite of Reality" Financial Education Workshop!
Here is your chance to serve & learn with teens who are becoming empowered through financial literacy at a one-day workshop event called “Bite of Reality”!
Media Done Responsibly is partnering with Golden Women Foundation, a charitable women's empowerment organization that focuses on maintaining positive, healthy lifestyles and opening opportunities for women to advance in education and careers. They are looking for volunteers for the free "Bite of Reality” workshop that takes place Saturday, February 27th from 9am to 11:30am at Kinecta Credit Union in El Segundo. Volunteers will need to be there from 8am to 12pm.
"Bite of Reality" is an interactive money management simulation for teenagers. This event will provide teens with a job, a salary and choice to make their own purchasing decisions. In part, this event is intended to teach teens how to create a budget, manage their own money and become empowered through financial literacy. There is no special training required, however, volunteers will be briefed and given instructions an hour before the event.
