About Online Tutor Training

Literacy Volunteers of Sullivan County is pleased to now offer Online Tutor Training! Training sign up is ongoing and you have up to one month to complete the work either in your own home or on one of the computers here at the Literacy Center.

Have you always wanted to be a tutor but did not have the time to come to our twice yearly classroom trainings? In collaboration with Literacy New York, we can now offer a comprehensive online tutor training that will prepare you to help someone better their lives through Literacy.

After the training is completed, the new volunteer tutor is matched with an adult student on a one-to-one basis. Students come to Literacy Volunteers desiring to learn. They need reading and writing skills to improve the quality of their lives.
