About 2019 Kern County Scottish Games & Gathering
In its 24th year the Kern County Scottish Games & Gathering showcases all things great about Scottish culture. From the herding dog demonstration, the heavy athletic competition, bagpipe and drum competition, food and merchandise vendors, and reenactors. This event includes traditional celtic music, celtic rock, dance demonstrations, and so much more. It's our main fundraiser and is our most attended event! Always family-friendly with something for everyone, Scot or not!
Volunteers are needed to help at the Front Gate, in the Kern County Scottish Society Booth, Banger Booth, Scotch Tasting (must be at least 21 years old), Beer Booths (must be at least 21 years old), Tea Room, Children's Glen, and Piping Competition. The volunteer commitment is 3 hours. Volunteer perks include free parking and free admission to the event.
