Prepping Gardens for the End of Season
Hosted by: Ingham County Land Bank Garden Program
About Prepping Gardens for the End of Season
The Garden Program serves over 80 gardens, and many of our gardeners are looking for help putting their plots to rest in preparation for the upcoming winter. This is a great opportunity to help community gardens that serve populations from a single family all the way up to hundreds of people. Tasks include laying down burlap, spreading straw, planting cover crops, and disconnecting and preparing water storage containers for the winter. What a great way to help your community and learn about sustainable practices!
Family-Friendly
Parents and children are invited and encouraged to get involved.
