About Adoption Day Volunteer

Adoption Event Volunteers are critical towards finding loving homes for our rescue cats and dogs! They assist potential adopters in finding their new best friend as well as promote responsible pet care. Adoption Events are located at Petsmart, off Archer Road, from 11-5pm every Saturday.

Between walking dogs, socializing cats, assisting with puppies or helping to break the event down there is always something to do! We also have a fabulous Jr Volunteer program welcoming any age (with a parent or guardian) to come volunteer with us!

Helping Hands also welcomes groups of 10-12 to help during events. It is a wonderful way to become active in the community for any organization! Please email in advance to coordinate any volunteer groups!

The experience of sending over 1,000 shelter animals to forever homes is extremely rewarding.

Please contact us if you have questions or would like more information about our rescue. Jr. Volunteers and Group volunteers are always welcome!

All animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, have been seen by a vet, are micro-chipped, and are tested for heart worms or Feline Leukemia/FIV before adoption.
