Habitat for Humanity envisions a world where everyone has a decent place to live and, seeking to put God’s love into action, brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope.
With your help, Habitat for Humanity North Shore has completed 34 homes and 9 critical home repairs for low-income families during the past 30 years. More than 150 North Shore residents now enjoy safe, clean, affordable housing because of YOU! Your donations, your labor and your advocacy equip Habitat for Humanity with what is required to address the needs of families struggling in homes that are overcrowded, unsafe or unaffordable. Your commitment and support enable Habitat for Humanity to fulfill aspirations of home ownership in families that can't achieve that goal alone. You make it possible to replace despair with hope.
This year, Habitat for Humanity North Shore built a four-bedroom Energy Star home in Danvers, renovated a three-bedroom Energy Star in Peabody, finished a kitchen install for a family of five struggling with medical issues and all of the financial problems that accompany a debilitating illness, and also began work on a new two-family house in a historic area of Ipswich. Next year, promises to be even more exciting because of the building projects in our pipeline and the promise of a return to the city of our origin - Lynn!
