About Kennel Assistant Internship

We are currently seeking an intern to serve as a kennel assistant. The intern would work directly with shelter staff to assist with the intake of new animals including tasks like giving vaccinations, drawing blood, light animal grooming, giving medications, and doing intake exams. The intern would also work independently on routine shelter activities such as cleaning kennels, socializing animals, counseling potential adopters, doing laundry, etc.

This is an unpaid internship. Length of internship and schedule will vary. Average of 10 - 15 hours per week.
