About Community Outreach/Education Committee

The Community Outreach Committee was established by the Strategic Plan in 2013. The objective of a community outreach committee is to improve the shelter’s public image and educate the public on animal welfare issues. Some activities of the committee include visiting schools and community centers to make pet care presentations, offering tours to community groups, holding pet care forums at the shelter, and coordinating other outreach and educational activities.
