About Friends of the Library Used Book Sale

Members Only Preview Sale on Tuesday, August 27, 2024. Memberships available at the door. Volunteers are needed prior to the sale to unload the boxes of donated books, arrange them on tables, and during the sale, be available to assist customers. The sale continues for the general public Wednesday, August 28 and Thursday, August 29. The library is closed on Friday, August 30 and the sale resumes on Saturday, September 1.
The set up process goes smoothly with the books being sorted and labeled and the designated areas of the sale also being labeled. The volunteers have fun and it’s a great way to make friends.

Application Process

Volunteers should sign up with Book Sale Coordinator, Sue Capparella. Various tasks are available from moving small boxes, organizing books on tables, greeting and assisting customers during the sale and helping with checkout. Some tasks can be accomplished sitting or with little activity.
