Each year Noxubee National Wildlife Refuge and the Friends of Noxubee Refuge host an event for the Palmer Home for Children. The event serves as an opportunity for the children of Palmer Home to recreate together and connect with nature. Activities may include: fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and other nature-related activities. Help is needed in preparing lunch for the children, assisting children with baiting fishing poles, assisting with the set up and tear down of tents and tables, and assisting refuge staff as needed. If interested in helping, please contact Steve at Steve_Reagan@fws.gov or 662-323-5548 to confirm your interest and to determine where to meet.
The event will be on Saturday, June 13, from 9 am to 1 pm.
