About Driver for Donation Pick Up and Delivery

WORKS WITH: Sanctuary Owner; Volunteer Coordinator; Other volunteer drivers

LOCATION: Remote – Manatee County, Sarasota County, or Charlotte County

TIME COMMITMENT: 2-3 hours a couple times a month

PRE-PLACEMENT REQUIREMENTS and TRAINING:
-Truck or SUV
-Clean driving record
-Personal car insurance

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Willing and able to drive on a consistent basis to pick up food donations for sanctuary animals as well as other donations
-Deliver food donations to sanctuary or meet second driver to hand off food items
-Familiarity with fruits and vegetables and able to sort through produce and vegetables to get correct food
-Great at communication via email and phone
-Great time management
-Occasional pickup/delivery of other donated items

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
-Able to sit in car for 2-3 hours
-Able to lift 20-30 pounds
