About Event Help (as needed)

WORKS WITH: Other volunteers, sanctuary owners

LOCATION: Onsite or offsite

TIME COMMITMENT: As needed

PRE-PLACEMENT REQUIREMENTS and TRAINING:
-Sanctuary Orientation
-Tour of Sanctuary

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
-Comfortable with public speaking
-Comfortable working in/at various-paced environments/events
-Flexible and adaptable to last minute changes

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Front-facing role as a representative for the sanctuary
-Answer questions about the sanctuary, our mission, and the animals in our care
-Attend fundraising events and man the FANS table
-Transport marketing material and (occasionally) small animals for events to and from the sanctuary
-Collect basic information from interested public members and pass along to sanctuary owner (volunteer interest, interest in being added to newsletter emails, etc)

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
-Other volunteers
-Sanctuary owners

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
-Must be capable of working outside in Florida weather
-Must be comfortable sitting or standing for long periods of time
-Should be capable of bending and stooping repetitively
-Should be capable of carrying 20-30 pound items with assistance
