Help us Build The Dee Meyer Nature Area

A fundraising campaign for EdenHill Communities

The Dee Meyer Nature Area will be situated in a prime location next to the Comal Springs and looking out over New Braunfels.  The 8-acre site is owned by EdenHill on Lakeview Blvd. across from the EdenHill campus.  It will feature:

·         Public greenspace and impressive, heritage oak trees
·         Mulch-covered exercise path
·         Fitness stations for seniors
·         Picnic tables and park benches
·         Visitor and employee parking spaces
·         Public access on weekends, and weekdays late afternoon till dark.

In addition, the adjoining 16-acre parcel of land on the opposite side of the Comal Springs is being redeveloped by New Braunfels Utilities into a wildflower, native trees and shrubs landscape that will include walking paths, a conference center, and community education facility.  In total, 24 acres of ecologically significant property surrounding Comal Springs will be improved.

Dee Meyer Nature Area is an excellent fit for EdenHill’s mission to create opportunities for healthy aging.  The exercise path and fitness stations for seniors will be a popular destination for EdenHill’s neighbors, its residents, their families, and visitors.
