About Painters and Scrapers

EPCAMR can utilize volunteers on some anti-grafitti projects on historic and remnant abandoned mine land structures, fence painting projects, construction of our 3rd Solar Kiln for drying AMD in the Fall 2012. We will provide the brushes and paint.

We also have bird boxes that need to be stained with iron oxide.

Right now, we are actively looking for volunteers to paint nearly a 100' section of fence iron cast fence that is fronting the Huber Breaker in Ashley as a part of our partnership effort with the Huber Breaker Preservation Society. The fence needs to be scraped, primed, and painted powder coat black to bring it back to it's old glory. Inside the fence there is soon to be constructed some interpretative trails, kiosks, community gardens, benches, mining artifacts, pavers, and a Miner's Memorial to honor the men and young boys that worked throughout the Anthracite's Northern Coal Fields.

If someone had a personal sandblaster, it would speed things up for us.
