About Landscapers and Tree Planters
EPCAMR can utilize volunteers who are willilng to plant trees, shrubs, landscaping materials, geotextile grids, flower beds, pavers, and other materials on reclamation sites and at community gardens or community parks constructed on former abandoned mine lands.
We provide the tools, gloves, water, and other supplies to perform the plantings. If you want to learn more about the identification of various plants, trees, wetland plants, then join us and learn in the process by actively participating in our volunteer opportunities. EPCAMR Staff are trained by the US Army Corps of Engineering in Interagency Wetlands Identification and Delineations, and are pretty good at identifying most tree species too! While not Foresters, we do have an expertise in trees due to the various planting projects and reforestation efforts that we've been a part of for many years.
