About The Taste of East Lansing
The Taste of East Lansing brings together food, music, and community in downtown East Lansing. We have 15 food vendors, live music, and children's activities for our third annual event. It is the largest fundraiser for the Community Relations Coalition, and it also raises money for a community partner. This year, we have chosen Haven House, a local emergency shelter for families in the East Lansing area. Volunteers for this event would help with children's activities, entertainment, event set up and take down, and ticket sales. Join us for this great event!
We need volunteers to help with:
Vendor Assistant Shift 1: 3:45-5:30
April 25, 2014 8:00pm
Volunteers will be assigned to a vendor to help them take tickets and regulate the flow of attendees
Who volunteered?
Trash Shift 1: 3:45-5:30
April 25, 2014 8:00pm
Volunteers will help to regulate trash volume at various trash stations throughout event and be responsible for replacing bags as they fill up
Who volunteered?
Kids' Activities Shift 2: 5:30-7:30
April 25, 2014 8:00pm
Volunteers will be needed to help oversee the photo booths, to help with children's crafts, and to help regulate the lines in the kids' activities area. All volunteers will be required to submit a criminal background check authorization form.

Volunteers will be assigned to a vendor to help them take tickets and regulate the flow of attendees

Tear-Down Crew: 6:45-8:15

This will include general tear-down of tents, tables, signs, etc. Volunteers should be physically capable of lifting potentially heavy equipment and supplies
