About Adult Reading Assistance Tutor
Can you read a medicine bottle? Can you read a menu? 4.5 million Californians cannot do either of those tasks. We are seeking volunteers to train to become tutors in our Adult Reading Assistance Program. Our tutors help English speaking adults from the Corona area to acquire or improve their basic reading and writing skills. Students meet with their tutors at the Corona Public Library in a one-on-one pair or small group once or twice a week. With guided goal setting and supportive materials tutors can truly see the difference they make in someone’s life.
