About Food Distribution Volunteers
Experience what Catholic Harvest Food Pantry (CHFP) does to provide food to those in need by volunteering once a month with one of our Food Distributions! We take the food orders that were packed earlier and give them out to our clients at their scheduled distribution times 6-7PM or 3:45-4:45PM each weekday, and a Senior Box Distribution, a Mobile Pantry Food Distribution in other parts of York, and an additional morning distribution at 9AM on the 1st and 3rd Thursday/month. Volunteers collect the non-perishable boxes, the refrigerated boxes and the freezer bags for the correct order and cart them out to families in our parking lot as they arrive at their scheduled distribution time. (Just like ordering from the grocery store!) CHFP has morning, afternoon and evening distributions and at least one distribution each weekday. Volunteer opportunities exist with all distributions. Students age 12-17 wanting volunteer opportunities or those needing service hours are welcome too, anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. We welcome you to become one of our team!
