About Volunteer Leadership Coach: Mentor a Team of Diverse, Driven College Students
Braven empowers promising, but often overlooked, young people on the path to college graduation, meaningful careers, and lives of impact.
As a Braven volunteer, you'll ensure our students graduate ready to play the game and to change it. Our core program, The Braven Accelerator, is a rigorous, experiential program in the form of a semester-long course that is principally facilitated by "Leadership Coaches", our extraordinary, diverse volunteers.

You’re hungry to deepen your own facilitation, coaching, and management skills
VOLUNTEER ROLE & EXPERIENCE:
COACH PROMISING YOUNG PEOPLE TO REACH THEIR TRUE POTENTIAL
Work directly with a team of 5-8 college students for a semester {Cohorts will meet on Wednesday's from 4:30-6:30PM (Jan 10th-May 30th). Coach Training on Saturday, January 27th.}
Facilitate a weekly evening “lab”
Give real-world application to leadership concepts by sharing your experiences and career knowledge
Support each student to design her personal career vision and goals – and a roadmap to get there
Expose students to your network and other unique opportunities
Experience our signature Saturday workshop, Story of Self, a high-impact, professionally-facilitated immersion in storytelling
Provide feedback to help students build high-quality portfolios
GROW AS A TEAM LEADER AND CULTURE BUILDER:
Build upon and apply the skills that help you succeed in your career:
Managing and motivating a diverse team towards a shared goal
Applying problem solving frameworks (e.g., design thinking)
Giving feedback to individuals & teams
·Storytelling as an evidence-based, leadership practice

Develop authentic, values-based relationships with promising, diverse talent
LOCATIONS: We are currently recruiting volunteers for our programs in Newark, NJ (at Rutgers University – Newark), San Jose, CA (at San José State University) and in Chicago (at National Louis University).
