The Aquarium of Niagara is a not-for-profit institution that brings Western New York the very best in Aquatic life, education and excitement.
We have seven rescued marine mammals; that means they were deemed non-releasable because they would not be able to survive without care. That’s where you come in. Your gift is tax-deductible and every dime we receive goes directly to animal care.
Here are just a few stories about our wonderful marine mammals:
Della is a blind Gray seal that uses audio cues to navigate in our Rescue Harbor Seal Pool. Della was found stranded in Delaware and that’s where she gets her name. She is very gentle and is adapting beautifully.
Pepper is also a Gray seal and she is paralyzed from the middle of her body down. She uses her front flippers to navigate.
Mia is a California sea lion who was found stranded with pneumonia and pregnant. Mia and her now two-year-old pup, Isabel, are crowd favorites at the Aquarium.
Please support the Aquarium’s marine mammals today. Remember, every dime goes to support and care for our wonderful marine mammals.
