About Transportation Specialist

A Transportation Specialist travels around the Chapter, conveying blood products to hospitals, and/or picking up blood products from blood drives and the facilities in which they are housed. Due to the driving necessary to this position, additional training is necessary, which in turn mandates a one year commitment. Scheduling is flexible.

Apply to volunteer with the Red Cross at the following link: http://rdcrss.org/1jwIkp1 Then, enter your zip code, and when the next page appears, click “Michigan Region.” From there, choose “Prospective Adult Volunteer” (Or youth, if appropriate). Then, you can enter your personal information to apply to volunteer. You have the option of registering a facebook page at that point. Concurrently, you will need to consent to a background check. When all that's completed, we'll call you for an intake interview, and place you in the need of ours that fits your interests and skills best!
