Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln empowers future homeowners by providing a hand-up, not a hand-out. We are dedicated to serving the needs of our local community by changing lives through building strength, stability, self-reliance, and shelter. As a Habitat volunteer, you get a hands on experience by working alongside the homebuyer. You also get to see, touch and feel your contribution.
We are challenging women from all walks of life to build, and advocate for decent, affordable homeownership. Women Build 2023 will provide you the opportunity to emerge as a leader while building stronger and safer communities. This experience will be unforgettable for all involved to improve our community. Blanca and her four children have been living in a leaky trailer and they are looking forward to having a safe, warm environment to make memories.
The walls are up on their new home and siding will be going up next. We can't wait to share more of their story and update you on the progress of this inspiring family!
UPDATE: Blanca and her family have moved in to their brand new home. The sod is being put down today and Blanca can get started planning the vegetable and flower garden she has been eagerly anticipating.
