CTYE's Free Work Readiness Program
2017 was our first year conducting our Work Readiness Program, with the help of the Mayor's Summer Works Grant. With over 25 attendees learning how to research, fill out applications, dress for and conduct interviews, and gaining tips on landing and keeping a job as well as a financial readiness 101 class. CTYE prides itself on providing quality educational and life learning programs to our youth. Many of the working age Youth that attended the program have been able to secure a job for the summer. We need your help to keep these efforts alive!
CTYE's Mentoring and College Readiness Programs
These two programs are fairly new and are both gaining momentum. Since launching, we have been able to successfully help enroll several of our students into college. With help from our donors we also have been able to provide various "College Book Scholarships" to our students as well. Through our mentoring program, we have aided our students in setting goals while in middle and high school, encouraged and assisted them in joining extracurricular activities, and worked with them on social and interpersonal skills.
