Y Hey North Community! Calling all families, grandparents, neighbors, local businesses, alumni and friends! Last year, we embarked on a journey as a new PTO, and together raised more than $17,000 in our first-ever February fundraiser: The BIG GIVE.
This year, The Big Give is BACK and it’s BIGGER. We have three ambitious investments we hope to make for North this year, and we ask everyone’s help to do it. We have In just 29 days this February, we aim to raise "next level " funds that will support our awesome, resilient kids and have positive, long-term impact. Let's show up in a big way to support North and achieve these meaningful goals:
- Goal 1: Raise $17,500 to invest in Student Connection and Belonging.
- Goal 2: Raise $10,000 to invest in Teacher Support.
- Goal 3: Raise $12,500 to invest in Outdoor Space Improvements.

Y GOAL #1: Add opportunities for student connection and belonging - $17,500
Student clubs, teams and events foster a sense of belonging and togetherness, help kids practice social inclusion and build connection and strengthen their sense of self. This goal invests in hosting monthly afterschool events, bringing live DJs to school dances, throwing spectacular all-class end-of-year celebrations, and contribute $100 of extra funds to school clubs and teams.
Y GOAL #2: Support our educators to support our students - $10,000
Our educators are the backbone of our school, and give so much to our students. This goal invests an extra $100 in every North teacher foundation account to enhance classroom activities that foster Viking values. It also allows us to continue hosting monthly teacher appreciation events.
Y GOAL #3: Improve outdoor space and activities - $12,500
Transform our schoolyard into a more vibrant and inviting space to hangout and be active. This goal invests in elements such as pop-up or seasonal shade structures, more outdoor seating, game equipment, and creative elements inspired by our school values so our outdoor spaces are more usable and welcoming.

Donations to The BIG GIVE are deposited in North Junior High PTO's Boise Schools Foundation account and are tax deductible. Boise Schools Foundation is a private, nonprofit 501(c)3 organization established to raise and manage funds for the Boise School District.
