In response to the pandemic’s devastating impact on the primarily Black and Brown residents of Coler Rehabilitation & Nursing Care Center, OPEN DOORS Reality Poet Vincent Pierce launched #NursingHomeLivesMatter last summer.
The movement seeks to protect nursing home residents and workers who have been systematically disempowered and put in harm’s way by public officials and healthcare administrators.
With your support Vince and the other Reality Poets will bring their fight from Coler to the national stage—through art and activism that upholds the human dignity of all who’ve been dehumanized and confined within oppressive institutions during this pandemic and beyond.
