Mid Hudson Animal Aid first opened its doors on May 19, 1990. Since then we have been the last resort for abandoned, abused and throw away cats. Our free range, no kill shelter has housed handicapped, FIV+, FeLV+, blind, three legged, neurologically impaired, and frightened hoarded cats. Cats are regularly dumped in boxes in horrific weather conditions, given to us with broken bones and spirits, and we are never at a loss for kittens. Over 140 cats and kittens enjoy the warmth and safety of MHAA while they wait for their forever homes.
Our 26 year old sanctuary has a Great Room with cat walks, skylights, beds, baskets and a screened in porch. We also have an Isolation Ward for sick cats, a Leukemia apartment with a giant picture window and porch, visit rooms, and FIV suites. We consider no cat unadoptable, have a highly successful feral friends program, and an impressive adoption rate.
Please donate and share in support of all the Mid Hudson Animal Aid cats.
Mid Hudson Animal Aid is a no kill cat sanctuary dedicated to providing a safe haven for abandoned and abused cats. Our monthly expenses average $22,000 and we must constantly fundraise to continue our vital work. This Day of Giving will provide food, litter, vaccines, vet care, medications, spays/neuters, and enable us to continue our vital work. Please help us celebrate 26 successful years by donating to our worthy cats. Every dollar makes a difference.
