The fountain is nearly 70 years old and ready for an overhaul so the next generation can make more memories.
Friends of Stewart Park is raising $25,000 toward the cost of the new splash pad.
The new design will feature a flush accessible surface, timed shut off, push button start, interactive fountains and overhead sprinklers, and an embedded mural of the Finger Lakes.
