The Horizons Network mourns the passing of Lyn McNaught, a lifelong champion of equity in education and an original founder of Horizons National. We memorialize Lyn’s commitment by launching the Lyn McNaught Legacy Fund in support of one of Lyn’s passions - teachers.
The priorities of this fund are to support:
Educators within the Horizons Network
It will support the annual Horizons National Lyn McNaught Teacher Awards including, but not limited to, stipends for the award recipients and HN expenses of the award process (e.g., travel for the teachers to attend the annual conference, the awards themselves, etc.)
Innovations and Excellence in Education
Educational initiatives developed to impact and improve the quality of education for students and their families within the Horizons Network
General Educator Support
It may also support Horizons teachers generally at the discretion of Horizons National
