Dear Friends of LSP,
In March 2020, a global public health pandemic began bringing a trail of devastation, loss and uncertainty– a trail that still is very much present today. There is no doubt that as the pandemic rages on, it continues to bring with it all the less desirable outcomes for our collective well-being. However, all has not been lost.
The collective “pause” that the pandemic forced on all of us provided time for reflection and new opportunities.
As a result, we are thrilled and very proud to share that Little Sun People has leased a new space to call home and that’s right- Little Sun People is officially on the move! This new location not only will visually reflect the excellence in culturally responsive early childhood education that Little Sun People has provided so many families, but also will allow us to expand our student capacity and leave ample room for future expansion.
Our contractors for the new space have broken ground and are hard at work outfitting our new space with all the required renovations. In fact, your generosity during 2021 helped put us in a position to be in this moment! But we still need your help! As we’ve shared with you, our supporters, the pandemic took a significant toll on LSP in many ways, including financially. Our goal is to fund the remaining necessary renovations without incurring debt and using that milestone as a springboard to thriving in the years ahead.

Your donations will help us:
- Renovate both preschool- aged children’s and adult bathrooms
- Complete electrical work throughout the space
- Build out a food prep space not only for preparation of our children’s daily meals, but also for our hallmark weekly cooking classes!
- Renovate our newly designated dance classroom!
