Leeway School is a school dedicated to educating preschoolers with special needs.  We have a dream!  Our dream is to transform our play area into an outdoor classroom.  An outdoor classroom provides an environment where children can explore and learn using the outdoors as motivation.  As children, we all remember the draw of nature.  We loved running outside and exploring acorns or watching a spider build its web.  When children learn differently from their peers, those experiences can become more difficult or even impossible to do.  But they can be just as rewarding.  Our vision is to have areas where children can listen to a story under a tree.  Where they can sing a song or perform a puppet show for their peers on an outdoor stage. Where they can find out what is inside of an acorn or how one grows into a tree.  Under the expert supervision of our highly trained staff of special education teachers, speech therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, psychologists, social workers and vision therapists, we can make those experiences a reality for our kids! Learning is fun.  Help us provide those experiences for our students by donating to our Outdoor Classroom project.
