Stand With Us Against Veteran Homelessness
As the crisp enters the air and jackets find their way out of the attic, the excitement of autumn can be infectious. It’s a beautiful time of year, looking forward to the harvest celebration and the holiday season. For those of us serving veterans, this time of year can be a stressful one. With each degree that the temperature drops, we think of our clients who are struggling to maintain stable housing.
Our veterans struggling with their health or facing economic challenges become especially vulnerable this time of year, with heating bills on the rise and jobs in shorter supply. Veterans are almost twice as likely to become homeless than civilians.
To us, this is unacceptable. This fall, would you stand with us in saying, “Absolutely not!” to veteran homelessness?
Our services help us to identify neighbors who may be housing vulnerable, protecting them from ever facing a night on the streets or in a shelter. Our network of partners helps us to keep our community members safe, should they fall into homelessness.
You can stand with us in saying no to veteran homelessness, helping our servicemen and women find sustainable housing and shelter.
