Turn Awareness into Action: Support Jason Browne's Disaster Simulator Campaign
When I visited India, I was confronted with the stark realities of privilege and disparity. As I navigated the bustling streets of Chandni Chowk, each step reminded me of how much I take for granted—clean water, safe shelter, and the ease of daily comforts. These powerful observations have deeply informed my TEDx talk, my upcoming book, "Possibilities of Privilege," and this journey.
The Disaster Simulator Campaign with ShelterBox is my way of transforming these insights into actionable change. By immersing myself and others in a simulated disaster scenario, I aim to highlight the critical work of ShelterBox and inspire a broader recognition and use of our privileges to support those in dire need. This campaign is about fostering empathy, raising awareness, and mobilizing resources to make a tangible difference in the lives of those affected by disasters.
To uniquely tell this story, the video above introduces a character named Mr. Privilege—a blend of your favorite sci-fi and horror films—who challenges me to confront my privilege of shelter through a game. This cinematic journey unfolds in a way only seen in the movies, inviting you to be part of this narrative adventure.
