Ithaca Pride Alliance

Our Story

The Ithaca Pride Alliance was formed in the fall of 2023 out of a desire to see more connection and community for the LGBTQ+ population in Ithaca and the greater Tompkins County. Founding members Andrew Scheldorf, Crissi Dalfonzo, and Fred Horowitz first connected through pride planning and realized that they all had a similar complaint- there aren’t enough events and spaces for the LGBTQ+ community in Ithaca. After much conversation, they decided to take the plunge to create a group to help change that. Long term, the IPA will serve as a centralized group for planning and advertising events, sharing information and resources, and providing education to and about the LGBTQ+ community. 

Our First Milestone: Ithaca Pride Week 2024

The IPA is excited to collaborate with the Downtown Ithaca Alliance and other community partners to bring you Ithaca Pride Week 2024. However, to make this vision a reality, we need your support! While our partners will contribute to their events, we require additional funds to coordinate, market, and make Ithaca Pride Week a resounding success.
