We are a non-profit preschool and childcare organization, with two locations in Bend, caring for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. Our goal is to provide community-based, high quality child care and education to families regardless of traditional barriers in our society. We currently serve more than 150 children, and provide approximately $3000 per month of in-house scholarships. We also accept Oregon self-sufficiency program funding, which offsets costs for lower income families. We are proud of our diverse population of families and staff.

In the past year, our scholarships have supported a wide range of families - those who just moved to the area, those who lost their jobs suddenly, those who were struggling with homelessness, and those who just needed a little extra help. Our scholarships help create an even stronger sense of community in our schools. Families who have received are more willing to give - in volunteer time to our schools or to another worthy cause.

We want to provide and additional $2000 (or more!) per month in scholarships in 2017, which will help more families afford the cost of tuition. Their children will receive access to high quality early childhood educational opportunities including:

• letters, numbers, shapes and colors
• other languages and cultures
• ballet and music
• how and why things work
• positive social skills and emotional self-regulation
