Radical GENEROSITY Can Spark RADICAL CHANGE

#CUNYTuesday lit the spark, raising over $220,000. Now we must keep that momentum going and raise the remaining $80,000 before the new year. What future do you imagine for the Class of 2023? Is it diverse; is it radical; will it change the face of journalism?

Our Ida B. Wells Scholars are the radical change makers we need in the industry, the people who will be reporting on stories that matter, who will give access to diverse voices, who will, as one of our scholars puts it, “humanize and connect.” 

Without the scholarships, many of these budding journalists would not be able to pursue their chosen profession. As one current scholar says, "The Ida B. Wells Scholarship is helping me become the finest journalist I can be without worrying about financial debt. This allows me to truly focus on my craft and pursue stories that shine a light on social and political injustices in the United States."

Donate by making an IRA Charitable Rollover:  If you are 70 1/2 years or older, an IRS Charitable Rollover is a way you can help support the Ida B. Wells Scholarship Fund this year.  Ask your IRA administrator about making a direct transfer to the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism CUNY Foundation.
