The Harold Washington Legacy Scholarship will honor the lifetime achievements of its namesake. Each year, this endowed award will recognize one of Roosevelt’s outstanding Black students who is also a graduate of Chicago Public Schools. This junior or senior must display the highest level of commitment to transformative justice and democratic values while maintaining a strong record of leadership, service, community engagement and academic excellence. The ideal recipient represents the best of Harold Washington and Roosevelt University
