In the early morning of August 9th 2020, a driver driving at a high rate of speed traveling east on Decatur Street lost control of their vehicle hitting all FOUR of California Veterans Assistance Foundation's company vehicles at our Decatur location. At this time we are unsure if the driver has insurance to cover the damages to the vehicles. This will leave our non-profit in a financial bind covering the deductibles.
These vehicles are vital to the operations of CVAF. The vehicles are use to take Veterans to appointments for their health and wellness; as well as housing.
Luckily there was little property damage, but this is an added expense as well.
