Lucky Orphans would like to introduce you to Copal!
Copal is a Thoroughbred gelding, born in 1994. His registered name is Lucky Orphan, he is the rescues name sake! Copal was born into the racing world, where he raced a total of 74 times. In 2006, he came to live at LOHR, after being an eventer for a few years after his racing career. Copal enjoyed his years as an athlete, and like all athletes, had to retire. His owner retired him to Lucky Orphans where he gave lessons to young riders not only in riding, but also in the care of horses. Copal tends to be accident prone, and his students gained a lot of knowledge in wrapping and care of legs.
