Help Softball Score Big!

Gifts to Canisius Softball helped make the 2018-19 campaign a notable chapter in our history books.  We swept cross-town rival UB in a non-league doubleheader at the Demske Sports Complex and overall are 32-23 against UB on the softball diamond.  Individually, we had 2 student-athletes make the All-MAAC Team selections and 11 student-athletes make the NFCA Academic All-Americans.  Redshirt Lauren Castro broke the Canisius Home Run record with a total of 20 home runs.  Kara Paradowski lead the MAAC last year and was ranked seventh nationally with her 28 stolen bases this season.  As a team, Canisius ranks 22nd in the country (out of 293 teams) in stolen bases per game.  Our 2019-20 season is right around the corner and we are looking to our alumni, family and friends to help our team take the next step toward our MAAC Championship goal!  We are launching a one-month Blue & Gold Fund “crowdfunding” effort to raise critical resources for our program.  Gifts all sizes add up to make a big difference!  Each dollar raised through this campaign will go directly to enhancing the overall experience for our student-athletes.

Your gift in support of this campaign will:

• Help us provide the funding to purchase a new set of team bat bags for our student-athletes.
• Provide us the resources to purchase new bats for our upcoming Spring season.
• Offset the cost of our Spring Training trip to California. 

Our success is only possible because of the alumni, family and friends who supported Canisius Softball last year by providing the resources our team needed to succeed on the field and in the classroom.
