Join us in providing a life changing experience to incredible South African Goals for Girls staff members that are dedicating their lives to developing young female leaders in Alexandra Township and beyond!
Goals for Girls just added 6 incredible staff members to the family that are based in Johannesburg, and these six inspiring humans are dedicating their lives to serving young girls in Alexandra Township, as well as throughout southern Africa. We want to provide further leadership development training, opportunities and experiences to these staff members, in hopes that they can be even more effective in building female youth leaders from marginalized communities throughout Southern Africa.
Our hope is to bring these 6 staff members to Salt Lake City for a 10-day sun-up to sun-down leadership training experience, that will end with co-leading the Goals for Girls Leadership Summit with the Utah Royals FC August 5th-7th in Herriman, Utah (which will include bringing the MAGIC to the Summit). While in Utah, the South African delegation will meet with youth development and leadership experts, as well as community change leaders. Additionally, the delegation will work with top soccer trainers in Utah to learn more advanced technical and tactical soccer training, all in hopes for the delegation to take the leadership and soccer training back to Johannesburg to have even stronger impact on the girls they work with throughout Southern Africa.
We hope during their stay that these soccer-loving leaders will build life-long relationships with their American peers and learn from some of the best youth educators, leadership trainers, youth development experts and professional soccer stars and trainers that Utah has to offer. We want to equip them with the knowledge, perspective, experience and opportunities that will make them even more effective than they currently are.
